Had a great time running Last Chance! The weather was just about perfect. Had about ten rigs on the run. A couple of us played on every obsticle we came across. Went to the Buckley camp (which I never new existed) great little minning camp with lots of artifacts and old equipment. There were camp hosts there telling stories and giving tours. This was their first weekend open.

We then went to the Burrow Schmit (SP?) tunnel. Let the kids run through that and everyone else hung out at the entrance. Was a great time, and I don't believe anyone broke anything. I think I'm the only one that got stuck!

There were a couple of minor breaks, one of the TJ's banged a side step on a rock and had to take it off. I whacked a branch with the Driver's side mirror as I came out of the canyon. The glass popped out and was hanging by the heater wires.
Really enjoyed the drive, Walt Bickel's camp was interesting. I don't remember being there in the middle 50's, but I would bet my dad talked to him as he was all over that area between 1952 to 1957.
