Score! Man, you have a long way to go! You better get a move on this build man... Are you planing on it being ready for Rubicon?
Re: Bill's Early Bronco build
So I planned on a daily driver with rear steer, after speaking with a few po po as well as what remaining knowledge of the CVC I possess I determined it is not illegal to have a rear steer vehicle on the roadway. I planned on using this bronco as my tow vehicle behind my motor home , and also planned on an atlas , well you can't flat tow an atlas. So there you go it all comes together, I put 35 spline warn hub lockers on the rear and simply unlock the hubs when towing , perfect. The rear steer is hydraulically locked all the time except when you activate the controller, so that's safe. Now to move the pumpkin /ring and pinion to the center so it looks and acts normal . I needed to move 10 inches from the long side to the short side .
Re: Bill's Early Bronco build
I had some .120 tubes made as alignment tubes to re-assemble the separate pieces.
Re: Bill's Early Bronco build
Now I'm waiting to get the tranny so I can put transfer case/tranny/engine all in the frame before committing to a pinion angle. Then all joints will be welded and an Artec truss welded on it.

Wow, you are definatley building an awesome rig there! Can't wait to see it come together!
Re: Bill's Early Bronco build
Got the axle all lined up and welded now for the artec truss. They don't make a truss for this type home made axle so I ordered a standard rear 60 and modified/narrowed it. You see the pic with the section cut out
Re: Bill's Early Bronco build
The tranny mount I stoled off the ol blue bomber put a few angles in it to clear the driveline , barely . Darrel Jones from Performance (the driveline guys) was over the other day and he was thinking I would need a CV ,, bad news . There is no more room. The under side of the body will be about a half inch from there , so ! No CV .
Re: Bill's Early Bronco build
The rear cross member was in the way of the link mounts which sat atop the truss . I moved the rear axle back 6 inches for better decent angles/clearance. I'm thinking the gas tank will be behind the back seat , it used to go where you see that new cross member
