I bought this atlas used and it came with a diff brake on it but no apparatus to make it work. I ordered a Chevy vega handle and after market cable system to hook it up. Mounted it directly to the tranny I never intended to have a tranny cowl. Just a firewall to stop the engine heat. You can also see a fabricated door, I intended to have doors from the start as well. Marsha needs a step so I wanted another step just not an electric one on a linear actuator like the blue bomber. It was too much of a head ache and I was constantly driving off with her step in the down position (I think bloody Mary's may have had something to do with this). So I wanted the step to come up when the door closed. The door uses a one inch solid round bar as a hinge at the bottom of the round stock bar where it goes through the frame, is a lever which works the step. If you look close you can see the 2 heim joints and the all thread which connects them. The step apparatus I stole from my old buggy and modified it to work with this one , saved me some fab time.

I guess we are all headed to St George instead now. Me, Cliff, Joey, Bob, AJ, Randy, maybe Josh Mouton and Wayne. AJ may go on to Moab from St George . I have a reservation at slick rock but Im afraid to cancel because I could get a wild hair and go after St George . I would need a ride , as in trailer and tow vehicle to get to the trail . These are older pics as I'm sure you know I've been to Moab in this rig already .

Bummer. Keep me posted. If that's the case I'll cancel my Slickrock.

Heck ya just come with us,,, get hold of joey cambell and get the scoop ,, I apologize for not making an effort to keep you informed , Joey put the trip together I assumed he would have informed all who might have interest to attend. Your going to Fordyce right ? I believe Robert said he was staying with you. We can discuss it at the meeting on the 7th

Got it done went on some runs , broke all four ford knuckles , I actually had the welded in gusset in the suspected "weak part" of the ford knuckle which became the actual weak part . Probably something I did , I'm notorious for jacking up my own shit. Bought Ried Racing knuckles for all four corners putting the ones on the front starting tomorrow already did the back.
