Clearing the links,, motion of travel. Did a 4 link instead of track bar so top links had to clear oil pan, oil filter ect. Axle had to be foreword enough to clear the serpentine belt during articulation, this gave me a few more inches of up travel and helped to lower the roll axis .

This is the most comprehensive build write up I've seen in awhile!

Mother of all trusses, I unfortunately over built this truss it is made with 1/4 inch 1.5 tube with 3/16 bracing, I looked around on the net and took what I liked about several different ones prior to building this one, I have about 3 days of fab work (at the Bill pace) and around 25 to 30 bucks of metal x 2 for the full hydro rear steer. Those 2 rectangle pieces above the diff are the double ended ram mounts from PSC. I cut little gussets from a piece of one inch .120 wall square tubing to hold those in place, they are behind them.

Setting up the rear links , that top link needs clearance, the higher it goes into the substructure of the buggy, the lower the buggy goes to the ground , that's a good thing. I worked hard to get the maximum triangulation on those top links .

Drive line angle and link mounts , if the bottom link is shorter the driveline angle changes by pointing upward I wanted to get an angle pointing directly at the transfer case yoke then make my links as close to parallel as possible where they mounted to the buggy structure . I limited the driveline angle movement this way. I articulated it after set up in everyway possible it looked good enough to survive so I welded it all up. Check out the 2 harbor freight piano dollies I welded together with angle iron to hold up those heavy ass 60's while I worked with them. Robert used it for his build then Wayne barrowed it from Robert for his build. Hope it still works ,I will need it again soon.

Shock mount hoops with ORI's. Links all welded up. I gave myself about a half inch of clearance between the axle and the frame I don't need bump stops or limiting straps ORI struts have them built in. This axle is another ford dana 60 I took the original front, left hand drop, to kick ass off road near SAC , he moved it to the center then I ordered axles cut to length.

I designed this thing to have a rear radiator, this picture best exemplifies why. I can see what's in front of me better than the old buggy I built. See the pic of Faith my granddaughter behind the wheel
