BAKERSFIELD TRAILBLZERS
MINUTES
DATE: 5-3-2023
PLACE: Senior Pepe’s
Meeting was called to order by Dave Hess @ 7:01pm. Meeting was conducted by Dave Hess and Travis Aragon.
INTRODUCTION OF GUESTS:
Guests introduced were: Mark Habberfield, Kim & Bill Hoffman, Kevin & Leanne Sanders, Jeff & Tanya Sanders, Leticia Grider, Brandon Tootie, Cheyanne G., Kenn Morgan, Luis Becerra, Wendy Ward, Rusty Ryan.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
Minutes of the previous meeting were approved with a motion by Travis, second by Tami. Motion carried.
MEMBERSHIP REPORT:
Trailblazers welcomed Leticia Grider, Wendy Ward and Rusty Ryan to the Club.
NEW BUSINESS:
Club needs a suitcase generator for our events. Sandy moved, Lois second, the Club to spend up to $1200.00 for a generator. Motion carried. Kyle & Michelle Callaway will donate a mike.
We have outgrown our present meeting venue. After a discussion, Dave moved, Lois second, we look for a new venue. Motion carried. Misty will get a list of potential venues to present to the Club.
McLver trail needs a new adopter. After discussion, the club decided to adopt the trail, with a motion by Dave, seconded by Kyle, Motion carried.
Paperwork & deposit for Calico, April 6, 2024, has been submitted.
Event/run coordinator discussion tabled until the June meeting.
OLD BUSINESS:
Election of Officers, Rob Schiegel declined his nomination for Delegate. He is the new
OLD BUSINESS CONT:
Secretary for the CA4WDC Central District. Ken Robinson withdrew his name for V.P. Travis withdrew his name for V.P.
Those running for office are: President Jeremy Rowell, Vice-President Shea Sanders, Kirk O’berg, Treasurer Dave Hess, Secretary Marge Aichele, Delegate Travis Aragon. Further nominations will be taken from the Floor at the June Meeting. Voting and installation of Officers will take place at the June meeting.
TRIP REPORTS:
There were several trip reports given.
FUTURE RUNS:
High Sierra Porker run: 9-1-4-2023. For further information, check with Jeremy.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned @ 7:58pm with a motion my Dave, second by Lois, Motion carried.
Next meeting will be June 7, 2023
