BAKERSFIELD TRAILBLAZERS
MINUTES
DATE: 9/02/2020
PLACE: ON LINE ZOOM MEETING
Meeting was called to order by President Jeremy Rowell @ 7:06pm
INTRODUCTION OF GUESTS:
Guests present were: Terry Work, Mark Todd, Jack Chapman, CA4WDC President.
MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING:
Minutes of the previous meeting were approved upon a motion by Catherine Hillier, Second by Lois Hess, motion carried.
TREASURERS REPORT-DAVE HESS:

MEMBERSHIP REPORT-DAVE HESS:
No Report
UP COMING EVENTS:
Dinner at Calico will be cancelled. San Bernardino and California guide lines make it very difficult to serve dinner. Registration will not be refunded, but the extra dinner tickets will be refunded. Considering offering refunds In raffle tickets instead of cash.
Trip leaders are needed for Doran, Odessa and Mule Canyon. Contact Jeremy if you can lead one of these trips.
High Sierra Poker Run 9/4-7/2020. Logging is going on everywhere. Base camp will probably be impacted. Trailblazers are leading Bald Mountain Run. 20 rigs on run, leave base camp at 10:00. Registration is open on site.
SPECIAL REPORTS:
Jared MacLeod reported the beaches are still closed. Several Businesses are closing their doors.
Coastal Commission lost their appeal to stop reimbursement in the amount of $252,726.00. Friends of Oceano are hosting a fund raiser bar-b-que on 11/7/2020, in Pismo on Grand Ave

OLD BUSINESS:
1. Jeremy reminded everyone about Panamint Valley Days 11/11-13/2020
2. SxS: Jack Chapman reported there is still a problem getting insurance for SxS. CA4WDC is moving in the direction of supporting SxS. Education is still the key. This is an ongoing topic.
3. Jeremy contacted Glen Reynolds, North District VP regarding insurance for Association that would include SxS. No luck so far. Current insurance provider will not cover SxS. Also exploring the possibility for coverage through non-profit insurance provider.
4. Continuing training for SxS through the CA4WDC Foundation. One person has completed training.
TRIP REPORTS:
Trips were made by several club members. They enjoyed Bald Mountain, Swamp Lake. A good time was had by all.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned with a motion by Catherine Hillier, Second by Jon Aichele. Motion Carried
