Bakersfield Trailblazer Minutes 2/7/24 Approved

BAKERSFIELD TRAILBLAZERS
MINUTES
DATE: 2-7-2024
PLACE: Senior Pepes
Meeting was called to order by President Jeremy Rowell @7:05pm.
INTRODUCTION OF GUESTS:
Guests introduced were J. Huff, David Mizner, Chris Ronk, Henry G, Terry & Lorie Morris.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
Minutes of the previous meeting were approved with a motion from Ken, second by Dave. Motion carried.
TREASURES REPORT:
Dave gave his report. The report was followed by a discussion.
MEMBERSHIP REPORT:
The Trailblazers welcomed Noelle Penner & Dave Mizner to the Club.
REPORTS:
There was no Central District report. Report from CORVA, California budget is proposing 30 million cut to State Parks. This will affect all. OHV Park is a possible location on James Road. Jeremy spoke to Kern County Parks and Rec committee. The Club members need to show support for the OHV Park. Jeremy offered the Clubs help to revitalize Oak Flat Look Out. Discussion followed.
OLD BUSINESS:
Prospectors Crawl has already received 119 entries and we are two months out. There are no more campsites available. Jeremy is checking the possibility of using the overflow for camping. RTR is sponsoring the RTI ramp and donating drinks for the event. Volunteers and raffle prizes are still needed.
CA4WDC Convention is being held in Visalia, CA 2-16-18-2024. Jon moved, second by Jen, we donate $3000.00 to the legal fund. Motion carried.
NEW BUSINESS:
Travis resigned his position as delegate We need to elect a new delegate.
TRIP REPORTS:
There were several trip reports given.

Jeremy is asking for ideas for trips. Contact him if you have any suggestions.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned @ 8:15pm with a motion by Kyle, seconded by Tami. Motion carried.
